Sarah J. Maas can do no wrong. She is an absolute queen and I am not worthy. I just finished this series, and have no clue what to do with myself, my life, my future, and everything in between.
I started with Assassin’s blade, which was the prequel, even though it didn’t come out first. I would 100000% recommend this. While it is a biiiit slower than the rest of the series, it makes everything SO much better when things come full circle in the series.
While the books are long and there are quite a few to read, it is SO worth it. It’s fantasy mixed with action mixed with romance, and the plot is absolutely brilliant. This series is girl power to the max, and I truly can’t get enough of it.
You know that feeling when you finish a movie, or a book, or a show, and you just miss it? like the characters left an imprint on your heart? Well, this series did that and now I just feel a tad empty and might go ahead and re-read all of my favorite parts to help cope.
Sarah J. Maas created an entire universe with different kingdoms, alliances, villains, while weaving beautiful storylines for every single character. There is not a single plot hole (that I can think of), and everything is so intricate and beautifully written, that I found myself reading until the witching hour. The series gives off Game of Thrones vibes, but only on the surface, as this story is uniquely it’s own, and is so so different from anything I have ever read.
There are seriously not enough great things to say about this series. I just want more of it. That’s all.
